About
I facilitate action-oriented approaches that accelerate the ability of clients to meet critical challenges by involving managers and employees in focused dialogue that retains and grows collective intelligence, gains commitment and achieves alignment of strategic initiatives. This shift in thinking and performance happens in real time. With the addition of Web 2.0 technologies for social networks and communities of practice (CoPs), parallel to these crucial conversations, new routes to current and future innovation and market success are created with reliability and high sustainability. My proficiency in launching innovative and results-oriented programs at every level of the organization is matched to my high energy and commitment to employee engagement and organizational excellence.
My consulting practice, Worksmarts Group, and Appreciative Inquiry Consulting are where you will find me, as well as at Health Quest where I am Corporate Director of Organizational Learning & Leadership. Previously I held senior OD and Learning positions at St. Francis Hospital, Girl Scouts of the USA, ClientSoft, SCT/SunGard HE, and the March of Dimes Foundation.
My education includes a BS in Chemistry from the College of Mt. St. Vincent, an MA in education from Manhattanville College, and I have completed doctoral studies in Adult Learning and Leadership at Teachers College, Columbia University. At Teachers College, I have been an adjunct faculty member for 10 years, and have taught online and onsite courses, as well as leading programs within the Workplace Learning Institute. My writing includes journal articles on Appreciative Inquiry, on Transformative Learning, and on the use of Web2.0 for increasing dialogue and knowledge creation.
